World of Confections

Physics
The people here have similar physics to our own here on the planet Earth. They do use certain cartoon physics including squash and stretch to aid them in fighting or other various tasks. The world itself is consistent of sweets, the textures of the sweets are what is mostly of concern in the world, not so much as how the world can affect the sweets.

Normal days:
On normal days most NPC's are happy and offer a high variety of sugary goodness. They also offer a variety of many different things including meats, vegetables, weapons, and clothing goods. When it is a normal day all of these stores will be open. The Sugar Desert is also able to cross safely. Though there may be a hole or two in certain locations, there is not anywhere near the amount there would be on a hot day.

Hot days:
The NPC's will complain about the Taffy Grass or the Marshmallow Meadows becoming sticky. This does not affect game play but makes for interesting conversations and possible side games. On hot days select stores are closed. There is no food stores open on hot days for fear of spoiled food.

The Coffee River, Lollipop Forest, and Candy Cane Bushes may also become 'sticky' due to weather but otherwise unaffected. The Chocolate Moor Mountains are unaffected, the frozen ice cream sorbet on top of them act as snow and an internal cooler.

What is affected on hot days is the dense Sugar Desert. The heat makes the sugars in the desert susceptible to 'Sugar Rushes' where random holes in the desert may swallow you up. Or melt out from under you. Unless the Player has sufficient supplies, it prevents travel and it's best to wait out the hot spell.

Cold days:
On cold days this is usually winter approaching or winter arrives. It is wise once the game begins to set into its cold days to have enough money saved up to support you throughout the full winter. If the Player does not have enough money, they may gain more by finding monsters to battle, or NPC's to help. They may do part time work on a farm, in an Inn, or at a restaurant.

These are also mini-games that do not affect the main storyline. If the Player does not desire to do any of this, they may also 'forage' throughout the game lands and may find a stray 'Berry' to eat or sell or animal to kill. They may also wish to purchase a 'pet' in the game. Certain pets may be able to locate 'Juelz' in the ground or some pets can find animals and lost or hidden items and food that the Player may eat or sell.

Stormy days:
During stormy days it is best to remain indoors or inside of an Inn. The Player will not be able to get across certain locations such as, The Sugar Desert, The Lollipop Forest, or the Valley of Sweets. It's best on stormy days to take time to train indoors with the help of a pet. It should be noted that no stores are open outside. However several stores are open if the Player decides to 'camp out' in the main building in the center of the Cinnamon Cookie Market Place.

Science
The Scientists have long since discovered edible crystalline carbohydrates, mainly sucrose, lactose, and fructose characterized by sweet flavors can enhance a beings magical properties. Only the purest form of Sucrose can fully power a person when they are low on energy. Or can instantly heal them to perfect health.

Agriculture
It should be noted that not only sweets are eaten in the World of Confections but foods like lamb and chicken and cow are also eaten as well as sweet tomatoes, carrots, broccoli and cabbage. Fruits are grown near Gumdrop Trees and only near Gumdrop Trees.

They can provide sustenance for several good plows of fruit. The fruit is grown in the ground or can be plucked in purest form from the Gumdrop Trees. The people eat sweets on a regular basis but they do not retain cavities. Because they eat fruit from the Gumdrop Trees.

If the Player eats too many sweets however, complications will arise including holes in teeth, making MP and HP drop dramatically. This can be rectified by eating a pure Gold Gumdrop or by eating a few fruit.

Juelz is the type of money used in the World of Confections. A type of metal found beneath the ground. And accepted for trades of goods including food, weapons, clothing, and specialty items.

Nature and Architecture
The world of confections is circular in shape and revolves on it's access much like the planet Earth. It is made up of five villages. Gingerbread Village, Water Taffy Village, Silver Bubble Village, Koi-Icing Village, and Seaweed Blueberry Village. But our main focus in the game is on The Gingerbread Village. Much of the upholstery in the world consist of a lovely bled of sleek efficacy and carved goods.
Some of the locations familiar to the World are:

The Castle of Confections- The castle is where the rulers of the World of Confections live. It is a tall building constructed of pieces of the strongest white chocolate each of it's towers topped with ice cream cones.

The Gingerbread Village- The Player's home village houses constructed entirely of Gingerbread and accentuated with a different variety of sweets. The marketplace is in the center of the village, and inside of the main building of the marketplace is the village water supply, a large lagoon covered by protective glass and surrounded by a plethora of different flowers and plants. Benches line walk ways and the inside resembles a modern day mall. Almost a 180 from the sweets outside. Cinnamon sticks are smartly used for columns and rails. Fruit Roll ups are tugged on conveyer belts to pull the NPC's along to different parts of the inside market. The inside is mainly at its busiest when the weather is disagreeable outside of its walls.

The Cinnamon Cookie Market Place- This is the name of the market place; it holds many stores including Weapons, Magic Sucrose, Meats, Vegetables, Clothes, and a Pet shop.

The Valley of Sweets- Is a valley made up of many different cookies, and confections. Many monsters lurk in the hidden bushes, like the in bubble gum bushes and

The Chocolate Moor Mountains- Kept in shape and unable to melt due to its frozen ice cream sorbet toppings the mountains are a great place to 'forge' for Juelz and to train. It's also a place where NPC's do not bother you.

The Brownie Dirt and Taffy Grass- is the ground on which the Player will walk and run on, acts like normal dirt and grass of our world, but if feeling sick eating this may help with poisons, but if too much is eaten the Player's mouth will become full of holes and they will slowly loose HP and MP.

The Marshmallow Meadows- NPC's are everywhere, treating the Meadows as if it's a giant playground. The Player may jump on Marshmallows and even pick some to take with them on their quest. Marshmallows may cure the Player if they are 'confused'. Again, if too much is eaten the Player's mouth will become full of holes and they will slowly loose HP and MP.

The Candy Cane Bushes- the bushes hide small animals who you can tame to be your pets, they are loyal and cunning but are not too strong and may die easily if taken away from the bushes for too long. If a pet from the bushes is what the Player wants it is best to take some of the Candy Canes with on their quest so the pet will not die.

The Sugar Desert- The desert is a barren and hot place to be. Dark brown sugary sands plague the ground and there are deep holes that may fall out, or melt out from under the Player. Hardly any creatures exist in the desert, but the Player may meet some in passing and be forced to flee or fight. When hot out it is extremely difficult to travel to new locations and it is advised not to. However, if the Player chooses to tempt fate, the sugar sands can reveal hidden items and useful treasures. On stormy days the Desert is impossible to cross and the Player must wait out the storm.

The Coffee River- The Coffee River supplies an endless amount of coffee. Mocha Bean fish live in the river and can be a tasty substitute if the Player has no food. Mocha Bean fish will not cause holes in teeth and may be eaten as much as the Player desires. But it takes time to catch the fish and it takes 5 fish to heal 25% MP and HP. If the Player is stunned, they can wait it out or drink from the coffee river for instant cure.

The Lollipop Forest- The Lollipop Forest is not as fun as it sounds. Great hulking candy coated bark is wrapped around ovular-shaped hard candy heads. The leaves on a Lollipop tree can be deadly if eaten. But the bark is good for taking care of hunger and as always if too much is eaten the Player's mouth will become full of holes and they will slowly loose HP and MP.

The Gumdrop Trees- The most mystical of all of the nature in the World of Confections. The Gumdrop Tree's bark is a strong hallows dark ginger chocolate. The insides are full of a mysterious blue gel. That if touched may harm the Player. So it's wise to leave it alone. The leaves are made of pure mint, and the large fruits that it bears are worth their weight in Juelz. The Gumdrop Tree gives off several different fruits, including many different types of Berry that can cure either MP or HP or both together. The tree also bears the rare Gold Gumdrop which can cure all ailments and return the Player to full health, sometimes aiding the player in gaining another level.

Consumption of Sweets
The Player can only eat a certain amount of sweets before the Player's mouth will become full of holes and they will slowly loose HP and MP. To prevent this Sucrose Tracker is warn on the Player at all times, tracking the amount of Sucrose intake.

Enemies (some)
Dentists-Short, stout, fearsome, and with chain saws they run around outside of the village ready to attack anyone who eats sweets, or has Sucrose Magic on them.
Licorice Beasts- Fearsome black licorice canines whose only wish is to devour any and everything.
Cupcake's- soft and full of sugary sweetness, they shoot frosting and sprinkles at you. If you get too close they will try and bite you, they have large teeth in the front of their bodies.

Clothing
Mostly the city folk wear leather goods, many of the people's style of clothing is close to modern mid-evil clothes of our time, or vintage wear.

Pets (optional)
Poppy dogs, Caramel Cats, Horses, sheep, and wolves. These are a few of the animals that you can tame. Once caught, you have to feed them whenever hungry or they may die, and this will turn other animals off to you throughout the game if you let a pet die. You may also choose a pet from the candy cane bushes such as lizards, birds, or mice. While these animals are not very strong like the others, they are useful and loyal if you tame them and raise them with candy canes. If taken away from the bushes they will need a candy cane daily until they are trained to wait it out. Then they usually only need to be feed once or so a week.

History
The World of Confections was born from an idea that sweets would make the universe a better place. In order to put this into effect the cosmos set out to create a simple sweet world where all the confections in the universe could reside. To manage and take care of this world and its sweets all manner of being was created. The main existence on the World is the Sucrotians. Whose sweet tooth cannot be beaten. They strive to protect the World's innocent existence so that the people in the Universe may continue to live happily with everyday sweets.

Conflict:
The World was peaceful for many generations until sometime around the year 5039 everything changed. Slowly at first sweets began to disappear from the world. We find out from a summons to the castle that the King and Queen are trying to infect other worlds with sweets. They want to make the universe a better place, and what better way than by owning it all? We are now against our own world, and must stop the King and Queen's destructive path.

Object of the game:
You must stop the King and Queen by making them listen to reason, they need proof that sweets are not the best thing for the universe. Go around the universe collecting proof in the form of rotten teeth from children, dead white blood cells, dead hearts, decayed livers and other body parts.
As you the player goes on you see that in the beginning the universe is highly infected in planets closer to the World of Confections. As you get further out to the universe there is less infections.

Language:
The characters speak in a different language from english, as the player you'd hear squeaks, mumbles, exclamations in the form of oh! Whoa- Ouugh!

Below is a dictionary of a few slang words in the World of Confections:
Fudge- exclamation; used to express anger and frustration. EX: “Oh, Fudge!” also “Fudget!” and “Fudgittery!”
Gumdrops- an alternate to fudge. Used to express disappointment. EX: “Aw.. gumdrops. I wanted to go to the meadow!”
Skids- an endearing term that older people call younger people. EX: “You Skids dont understand what the old days were like.”
Candyams- a dirrivative of 'candied yams' a feeling of great enthusiasm and eagerness, or excitement. EX: Really? You'll really take me there? Oh candyams, this is perfect!”
Circus Candies- A form of gift by mouth. To receive 'circus candies' is to have done a good job. Usually said as a reward. EX: “Congrats man, you did a good job, you deserve a mountain of circus candies.”
Befhexed- meaning to annoy immensely. EX: “Your fudging cheerfulness has always befhexed me.”
Totarn- used to warn, or to 'watch out', 'look out', 'be careful'. EX: “Totarn!” or “Its dangerous out there, totarn will you?
Frost(en)(y)- (en)Slang used to express disbelief. (y) Slang used as a derivative of 'cool' or 'awesome'. EX: for (en)“Your frosten' me.” or for (y) “Frosty!” or (y) sarcastic“Wow, that's so frosty.”)

Politics:
The World of Confections is headed by a King and Queen. The King being the most important individual in the world, he rules with passion and his word is law. The system or form of government used by the World of Confections is a monarchy. All political power is passes down through the royal family. The King and Queen's children will take over ruling once they come of age at which time the King will retire.
The King has a number of subordinates that are his council. These people he goes to for information on any and all subjects in the kingdom as well as news and ideas to help advance the world. Directly below the King are there are ten Sucrotians made up of the smartest men and woman the planet has to offer. Under them are a collection of fifty or so scientists, inventors, and historians. Under them are a few hundred news reporters and information gatherers who work as liberians. And finally under them are the Citizens of the world.
The King and castle are protected by several powerful guards who can easily dispatch of enemies and would happily give up there lives for the protection of the kingdom. Several lesser guards are constantly patrolling the city, and they handle small discrepancies daily. You can also get directions and other information from them.

Technology:
The technology in the World of Confections is slightly more advanced than our own. They have found that sugar is plentiful in the world and as such is a main power source for them. They grind and soak up the sugar in its many forms to supply power to their homes and buildings. Books are not on paper as there are no normal trees on the planet instead they are digitally formatted and can be read using tools that are the length of two pens and the width of chap-stick. Pushing a series of buttons to scroll up and down or change pages.

Doors open automatically, and there are 'storm doors' in every building as well as 'storm covers' applied when the weather gets bad, this helps protect the outside of the building as well as the goods and people inside. Elevators or 'lift's' are used constantly and effectively to transport goods or people.

For lifting objects there are objects that look like laser pointers and can lift up to ten times your weight. In order to transport your goods around an 'Infinite Sack' is used. You only get one at the start of the game and as it says it is infinite, however you must have it modified several times in order to carry different items. As the game begins you can only carry an infinite amount of food and money. Money is stored either in a pouch at the waist- which is not recommended because it can be easily lifted from you.- or in your infinite sack. Food is shrunk down when placed in the sack and once removed grows to its proper size.

As is any of the other objects you choose to place inside of your sack as long as you get the sack modified to fit which ever object it is that you'll need to transport.
You can also keep your pet(s) inside the sack, but keep in mind that they get lonely too, and if you forget them for too long they will become irate and may not help you when you need them too. Also, don't forget to feed your animal or else they will find a way to ear your food storage while inside the sack.
As the game progresses you'll need to have it added to, so that you may carry clothes, weapons, magic fruits, and most importantly the proof you will need to show the King and Queen to help them see the error of there ways.

Music is played on conventional radios, or stored away in small chips that can be carried in headphones, on key-ring's, or virtually anywhere. Even warn on a necklace.
